Hello, I am a recently retired public school teacher who will be traveling for 2 to 3 months as a volunteer in Ecuador. My tentative travel dates are in the May to July time period but this can be modified to accommodate the rental needs of the tenant.
My Clock Tower loft is located on the ground floor level just next to a peaceful palm-tree lined courtyard. The loft will be available for a short term rental period of approximately 8-12 weeks. This South Park/SOMA unit is fully furnished. My 776 sq. ft. unit has a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave, shower/tub, washer, dryer, and a double bed.
The building is quite centrally located at 2nd @ Bryant Street within walking distance of the Caltrans station for South Bay commuters, ATT Park, taxi stands, muni bus stops and the financial district (Market Street). My unit also has an assigned gated parking spot which is a real plus in a city of $75.00 parking tickets. There is an additional charge of $200 per month to rent the parking space.
I do have a very sweet 8-year-old indoor cat and I'm willing to negotiate a reduction of $200 per month if the renter takes care of her while I'm traveling. I will not rent the unit unless you agree to care for my cat. I will provide all of her dry food (special diet) and kitty litter for the rental period. You just provide a lap and some affection and clean out her litter box.

I am only willing to rent to someone who will rent for the period of time that I'm traveling. My current plans are to travel between May 1-July 31, 2016. This is not a sublet as I am the owner of the unit.
Your rental price includes all utilities which are in my name (electricity, cable, water, garbage, broadband internet and Wi-Fi as well as the monthly HOA dues.
The unit is accessible through a key-fob system which makes this a quite secure and safe building. Did I mention, that the building is on the list of historical buildings in San Francisco? This building was formally a lithograph factory and each loft unit is classified as work/live. My loft has 12' ceilings, industrial sized windows, hardwood floors, wood beams, and exposed brick walls.
Note: My travel dates are flexible. I would like to travel to South America for a trip of at least 2 months. Ideally, I would like to leave in May, but could also leave in June. I am also planning a trip to Europe for 3 months beginning in September. There is a privacy screen installed between the loft and the living area so it's feasible that 2 friends could share the space and maybe trade off on who sleeps on the bed and who sleeps on the couch. Tenant agrees to care for a resident indoor cat. Rent will be reduced $200 per month for this care. I will supply all of her food and k-litter for the duration of the rental period. This a short term rental of approximately 2-3 months. All utilities are in owners name. Wifi and cable included. Deposit and 1st months rental must be received before rental starts.
